HOGAR LUIS AMIGO in GUATEMALA
Luis Amigo is a home for teenage girls. They are undergoing a large construction project, as a new home is being built, allowing the girls to move from rented quarters. The Rotary Club of Madison West Towne-Middleton, WI (a conductor club for this orphanage) and Madison Sertoma contributed to a substantial poultry barn and some chickens. The Rotary Club also is donating money for an orchard and chickens. However, the needs are many and additional conductor organizations or donors are needed.
A few of the needs include:
- $16,000 for solar heaters
- Scholarships so that girls can obtain a high school and college education
- Creation of micro enterprises to assist in the self sufficiency of the home
