NIRINJANA ORPHANAGE IN INDIA

Currently, approximately 20 children live in the Niranjana Orphanage, located in Bakrour, Via, Bodhgaya, District Gaya, Bihar, India. The Niranjana project also operates schools that educate the children living in the orphanage, but also other poor children.  The director is believed to want to take more orphans into the home, but would need more funds to house and care for them (approximately $600 per year, per child).  In addition, the orphanage could be enlarged for the cost of a few thousand dollars.  Other needs include the following:

• Mosquito nets and bed linens
• Shoes/sandals for each child
• Medicine
• Soap and toothpaste
• Many other items for daily living and learning
