Organizations
wishing to join the Orphan Train Project are called conductors. We'll
give each conductor a profile of an orphanage, a list of its needs, and the
cost. You can also obtain a list of individual orphans. We'll give conductors
the name and address of a local contact who's familiar with the selected orphanage,
speaks English, and can translate correspondence with the orphanage.
Individuals or service clubs can assist the Orphan Train Project on a
one-time basis, occasionally, or on a continuing basis. We ask for no minimum
amount of support-provide it as your budget allows. We encourage you to correspond
with the orphanage, its director, and the children.
We do ask that conductors report their activities to the Rotary Club of Madison
West Towne-Middleton, which will help us keep project records and provide opportunities
to share useful information.
